The JEK Foundation is pleased to announce its recent grant of $40,000 to the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley, Inc. The funds provided will support Samaritan’s initiative to screen 5th-grade students in the Oshkosh Area School District for mental health issues. Samaritan offers a wide range of services, including counseling, wellness screenings for youth, programs for faith leaders, suicide prevention training, and support for various groups.
Recognizing the critical importance of mental health screening for young individuals, the JEK Foundation has chosen to support Samaritan Counseling Center’s endeavor to identify and address mental health issues in 5th-grade students. By providing the necessary funding, this grant will assist Samaritan in conducting comprehensive screenings and offering appropriate interventions to support the well-being of these students.
Through this generous grant of $40,000, Samaritan will be able to implement a targeted mental health screening program for 5th-grade students in the Oshkosh Area School District. The funds will cover the costs associated with conducting the screenings, as well as providing essential resources and interventions for those identified with mental health issues.
